Interior Trim Renovation

Project Year: 2018

Project Cost: $25,001 - $50,000

Country: United States

This house was built with simple 2.5" trim. The customer wanted a more custom look so we replaced all of the window/door trim, baseboard, and added a bunch of custom woodworking details. We changed out the baseboard to 1x6 poplar with a simple shoe molding. For the doors/windows, we used 1x4 Poplar for the legs and we made a 3 piece head consisting of a 1x6 body with a bullnose bottom and small crown molding top. We added vertical V-Groove wainscoting with a bullnose top in the bathrooms and entryway. We added a built in panel look in the downstairs living room and the dining area. The entire second floor living room, bedrooms and bathrooms all got new crown molding. We also did some custom trim work on the upstairs living room walls. One wall is horizontal 8" Shiplap with some inlay boxes and we added two more feature boxes above the fireplace. The whole house then got a fresh coat of paint.
